Report of the 2nd Clinical Meet of PCOA
On 16 September 2026, the 2nd Clinical Meet of the Pimpri Chinchwad Orthopaedic Association (PCOA) was successfully conducted at Neo Woods Hotel. The theme of the meeting was “Flaps in Orthopaedics.”
The meeting was attended by 43 PCOA members and was moderated by Dr. Rahul Salunkhe.
The academic session included two interesting case presentations. Dr. Sushant Shrivastava presented a case entitled “A Curious Case of Chronic Osteomyelitis in an 11-Year-Old Boy.” This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Chandrashekhar Dixit on “Skin Problems in Fracture-Dislocation of the Ankle.” Both presentations were followed by active and insightful discussions, with participation from the attending members.
Dr. Sandeep Naphade, a renowned plastic surgeon, delivered an in-depth discussion on the various skin and soft-tissue coverage options in orthopaedics, including their indications and potential complications. An interactive question-and-answer session followed, during which several queries from the audience regarding wound coverage and reconstruction were addressed comprehensively by Dr. Naphade.
At the conclusion of the academic programme, Dr. Rahul Salunkhe felicitated the case presenters and Dr. Sandeep Naphade for their valuable contributions.
Overall, the meeting was interactive, informative, focused, and engaging, providing an excellent platform for clinical learning, discussion, and exchange of experience among PCOA members.
The meeting was followed by dinner, providing an opportunity for further informal interaction and fellowship among the members.
